Sweetest Baby Shower

On February 27th, we joined some close friends and hosted a "Sweetest Baby Shower".  We took the candyland concept and gave it a sophisticated, yet fun twist.  Life sized lolipops and ice cream were part of the decor along with pop corn filled centerpieces.

To continue with the theme, we served miniature hamburger and hot dog sliders with popcorn and blue candy apples.  The cake was in the shape of a bubble gum machine. YUM!!
What's a "sweet" baby shower without the candy??  Gummi bears, skittles, flavored licorice-- among others were some of the favorites.

Brides Against Breast Cancer Tour

Each year the Association of Bridal Consultants partner with the Making Memories Foundation for the Brides Against Breast Cancer Road Tour. The tour made a couple of stops in the state of North Carolina as it traveled around the country to 30 other shows. February 5-8 the tour stopped at the Raleigh Sheraton Hotel and February 26-28 in Charlotte at the Marriott Executive Park. Charlotte Brides Against Breast Cancer Event -  raised $23,000, add that to Raleigh's $31,500 and that puts us at $54,500 raised in the MONTH of FEB!! I volunteered that Sunday in Charlotte and was amazed at the different types of gorgeous gowns. Along with basic gowns were the courture section that featured many well-known designers, such as Vera Wang. Yes, Vera Wang!!

If you missed any area stops, the warehouse is open all year in Santee, South Carolina.  It's definitely worth a trip to save money while supporting a worthy cause. The Santee, SC Outlet Store is open the weekend of March 19 and every weekend in April! Call Barbara at 843-901-0402 for Details!
